Aggies Set for Competition at Florida Relays - Texas A&M Athletics


GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Texas A&M men’s and women’s track & field teams prepare for competition at the Florida Relays at James G. Pressly Stadium on Friday and Saturday.
 

The Aggies will face off against competition including Florida, Alabama, UCF, Florida State, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Harvard, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina A&T, South Carolina, USC, Virginia Tech and Vanderbilt, along with others.
 

The Texas A&M men’s team comes into the competition ranked fifth in the nation following the Victor Lopez Classic, where Connor Schulman led the team, clocking a national leading mark of 13.64 in the 110m hurdles. Schulman was crowned SEC Men’s Runner of the Week for the performance.
 
The women also enter the meet at No. 5 in the country after a strong showing in Houston. Heather Abadie is coming off a school record setting clearance of 14-0/4.27m, while Camryn Dickson registered a 200m time of 23.20 to earn SEC Women’s Freshman of the Week.
 
The Aggies will start competition on Friday at 1:30 p.m. CT with the men’s open high jump, while the women’s 4x100m prelims are set to begin at 1:45 p.m. CT.
