CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The Maryland cross country team wrapped up their final race before championship season today at XC 23, hosted by the University of Virginia.
The team took on a challenging course in tough weather conditions. Both Anna Coffin and Katie Altieri continued to impress, recording top-100 finishes in the Women’s Blue 6K, finishing in 84th and 89th, with both runners finishing in under 22 minutes.
Freshman Rose Coats also turned in another great performance, finishing just outside of the top-100, with a time 21:37.3. Katie Turk and Sophia Zell rounded out the scoring for the team, while Hannah Mack, Amanda Eliker, and Rubie Goffena also competed for Terps in the top women’s race at Panorama Farms.
Next Up: The Terps will head up to Madison, Wisconsin for the Big Ten Championships on Friday, October 27th
