LAUSANNE (SUI, Aug 22): Athletissima Wanda Diamond League in front of enthusiastic full house of 13 000+ spectators,  produced seven meeting records (including Duplantis’ from yesterday), highlighted by fourth (tied) fastest ever men’s 800m race, DL record and world lead by Emmanuel Wanyonyi (1:41.11). An outdoor world lead, quite surprisingly, also in the women’s 3000m by Diribe Welteji (8:21.50). Three fresh Olympic champions were defeated, Holloway lost his winning streak, and Jackson and Ingebrigtsen successfully returned to winning ways after Olympics. Women’s shot put is the first discipline which finished all DL qualifications meetings. The season goes fast, next DL meet, Silesia Kamila Skolimowska Memorial, is scheduled for Sunday in Chorzów.
