BMC GOLD STANDARD RACES, Watford, August 21

Watford was graced with a number of top internationals with Catriona Bisset of Australia, for example, winning the women’s 800m in 2:00.91 from Gabrielle Jennings of the United States as Brits Katie Snowden and Khai Mhlanga were third and fourth.

The men’s 800m was won by Justin Davies in a PB of 1:45.37 whereas in fourth Matthew McKenna from Walton ran 1:46.75 aged 17 to take two seconds off his best.

The time puts McKenna second on the European under-18 800m all-time lists behind Max Burgin’s 1:45.36 from 2019.

Henry McLuckie won the men’s 1500m in 3:38.33 as US duo Taryn Rawlings (4:08.79) and Kaylee Mitchell beat Erin Wallace in the women’s 1500m.
